Questions

A Finish Date what owners ask before the day

The first call is usually one worry said in one sentence. The first call stays on the named day, the open items, and who already runs payroll. The longer pages sit behind them if you want the slow version.

Short answers

Which month do you need first?

The oldest one that is still open. A shrug is a fair answer when that month is still unknown. Finding it is part of the work, and pretending a newer month is the start is how the pile survives.

Will you tell me if I do not need this?

Yes. If the months are few and already matched, the service is unnecessary, and that answer is part of the help. A day you do not need is not a day we will sell you.

Do you run payroll?

No. We set payroll up beside the provider who already runs payday, or the provider you choose. People keep getting paid on that calendar while the old months are matched.

Does the day reopen a return that was already filed?

Only if the paper says so. Left alone is a complete answer. An amendment is a second yes, with its own reason. Silence does not amend anything.

Is the month after included?

Not unless you ask for it in writing. The cleanup ends on the day. The next month is a different promise, and the default is that it does not start.

What should I send in the form?

The oldest open month, or the fact that you do not know it, and the day you need. Leave out account numbers and passwords. The form is a door, not the file.

If your question is not here

Write it in the form in a sentence or two. Put a month in the note when you know one. Without a month, the note takes longer to answer. If the question is really about a notice you received, say the form number and the month, and leave the dollar figure for the call.

Disclosures lists the work this practice will not sign, including a lender's request for a signed report. Read it before you treat that request as part of the cleanup. Seeing the edge early is kinder than discovering it after the call.
